Webworms aka tent caterpillars, form their webs on bushes, tree trunks etc so the hatched young have something to eat. While they may be on the home/walls this would not be where they would form the nest/tent treating the property as a whole will help with elimination if caught early enough. HI-Yield 55% Malathion Insect Spray is going to kill listed insects that are the actual cause of black sooty mold such as scale and aphids. It is recommended to clean the trunks, branches and areas where black sooty mold has developed with some soapy water and rinse off. Then, follow up with an insecticide labeled to treat for scale/plant sucking insects and apply as a foliar spray application.
For Ornamentals, the mix rate is 1.5 to 2 fl oz per gallon of water. Refer to the product label for more information.
