Per the product label, you should broadcast 2 lbs. of Hi-Yield Bone Meal 0-10-0 over 30 square feet and mix into the soil prior to planting. Side dress with 2 lbs. per 30 linear feet of row after seeding or planting, and water thoroughly after applying.

According to the Safety Data Sheet of Hi-Yield Bone Meal 0-10-0 , "Steamed Bone Meal - Mixture primarily containing calcium, fat, phosphorus and protein."

Hi-Yield Bone Meal 0-10-0 is not labeled for lawn applications so we would not recommend using it on your St. Augustine grass.
If your turf does not go dormant in your area, we recommend contacting your Local Extension Office for advise on the use of a fertilizer depending on the nutrient needs of your soil.
