  • Asked by John from Chesapeake, Va

    Q
Using this in combination with 2 4-D
Can I use this with 2 4-D to for my pre-emergence?
    A
Herbicide product labels recommend applying products only to healthy lawns, depending on your type of lawn, you may want be careful. For example, St Augustine grass is a sensitive grass and you probably would not want to overapply chemicals to it - expecially if it is not healthy. You should be wary of mixing herbicides and over applying chemicals to lawn all at once because it can burn your lawn or do other damage. You may want to contact your local cooperatioce extension office for recommendations on lawns in your area and climate.

    Q
Can I use Hi-Yield Crabgrass Weed Control on bare ground before I lay down new sod?
    A

Hi-Yield Crabgrass Weed Control this product is a pre-emergent, so you would need to wait at least 3 to 4 months before re-seeding or re-sodding your lawn after application. Roundup does not have any residual in soil, so this may be a better option.  You can install your sod 2 weeks after application.
