A good deal
By Nancy on 03/17/2015
I used this product once last summer and it stopped my Bermuda grass from growing within my Centipede. The runners appear green when runner stalks were broken even though they have not grown any...so I am going to use this again in a few weeks to prevent any spring growth. So far, it is the only thing I have found to eliminate the Bermuda.

Killing bermuda in centipede
By Ultracon on 05/23/2016
This stuff really works when used with the surfectant! After one application, the bermuda has stopped growing and is dying. The centipede is untouched! A second application will be going on in a week or so. This is really, really, good stuff and worth the $$!!!!! Be sure to get the surfectant as well to mix them together. A solution to my problem after years of digging and pulling!

Great service!
By Bruce on 09/09/2015
Ordered Hi-Yield grass killer on Monday and received it on Thursday. I had a number of Crab Grass patches in our lawn and used it as a spot spray on those patches. Follow the label and add a spreader sticker oil. It has been several days and the Crab Grass appears to be killed and I am satisfied with the product.

HY YIELD GRASS KILLER

It works!!
By Paige on 01/21/2018
It killed the grass in one week, but left our flowers unblemished. Last summer we had a large area in our yard we planted in cosmos (cosmos sulphureus, and cosmos bipinnatus ), Mexican sunflowers (Tithonia rotundifolia), and zinnias. It all came up beautifully, but so did some grass. We tried to keep it pulled but there was just too much of it and so the grass began to take over and stunt the growth of the other plants considerably. So I did research on grass killers that would leave my other plants alone. I sprayed it and a week later the grass was dying, the cosmos, zinnias, and sunflowers were doing great. By the end of the summer, they had recovered a lot and nearly filled the grass gap. We had so wished we had known about this stuff at the beginning of the season. But we're ready this year! I was a little concerned about the Cosmos as it was not listed on the label among the plants that this did not injure. But I can attest: they were fine. My space was probably 50 ft long and 20 feet wide. It used very little of the product (mixed as directed) so at this rate this bottle should last us 4, 5, or more seasons! May even find more places to use it. I used a hand pump sprayer and just did enough to ensure I had misted all the grass. One application did it. I'll continue to use it unless it fails me.

Didn't work
By Amy on 06/29/2017
I used this 3 times on my veggie garden and it had no impact at all. I foolishly didn't treat or paper my garden this year and it's been out of control. I spoke to a rep from this company who assured me that this product was all I needed for killing/preventing the grass without harming my veggies. This product didn't do anything. Total waste of money.

Thank you for your review. We apologize you are not getting the expected results. We would like to help troubleshoot. With the Hi Yield Grass Killer Post-Emergent Herbicide a surfactant helps the herbicide stick to the waxy coating of the weeds and lawn you are applying it to. It improves the effectiveness of herbicides greatly. With this product you would need 1 tablespoon of surfactant per gallon of mixture. Please tell us more about what you are treating for so that we are able to locate a product that will best fit your needs. We can also be reached at 866-581-7378 M-F 9-5PM EST.

Really goes after the Bermuda!
By George on 06/14/2017
Bought a home that has a centipede lawn. In sunny areas, Bermuda had really infiltrated and was completely taking over the centipede. This product is killing the Bermuda and leaving the centipede untouched. I have heard others it requires multiple applications to take out the Bermuda. In my case, it seems to be doing it in one! Just make sure to combine it with a surfactant when applying.

This stuff WORKS!
By Sarah on 08/21/2020
I got this "Hi-Yield Grass Killer", as well as the recommended "Hi-Yield Spreader Sticker Non-Ionic Surfactant", to take care of all the grasses that invaded my new flower and vegetable gardens this year. Between the weather, multiple home repairs, finally finishing our bedroom, and the pandemic, I was unable to keep with the gardens. I was about to throw in the towel on them, when I found this product. I decided it was worth the cost to see if I could reclaim the new beds, and not waste all the time, money and effort I had put into prepping the beds last fall, growing the plants from seed in early Spring, and finally getting everything into place when the weather finally broke. But by Summer, the grass had infiltrated all around, was way high, and tough as nails to pull out. I needed something that would kill the grass, but not the flowers and veggies. This is the stuff! I can see all the plants I put in the wildflower patch now, and the veg beds will be salvaged. I think I may even get my row of Irises back! It is simple to mix, and very effective. It took about a week to show signs of having been done, and another to prove it was really working. I did a second application at the 2 week point, to get what had been protected by the tall stuff on the first round. I don't think I'll have to do another. I definitely recommend it! My flowers are much happier now. And so am I.

Does the Job
By Mike on 05/19/2018
Used product on stubborn grass in flower beds. Required over a week to see results. Applied second application and growth of grass has been retarded and grass leaves are turning yellow. I assume the grass is dying, so I am pleased. Beats having to pull the grass. No adverse affect on Iris, Daylillies, and other flowers in the garden. I used the Hi-Yield sticker in conjunction with this product, as recommended by manufacturer.

BE CAREFUL!!!
By Scott on 10/08/2018
Got this to kill creeping signal grass, well it works. I also killed most of my other grass (centipede) should have started out light and waited 2 weeks and see results. Nope I used 4 bottles on about an acre and half too much. I say use lightly and if that does not get it hit it again, but it will kill what you are after and then some if not careful.

Centipedegrass weeder...WORKS!!!
By Kenny on 09/03/2018
I used this product to kill Bermuda in my Centipedegrass lawn in South Louisiana. WORKED VERY WELL!!! No damage to my lawn at all!.. 1oz per gallon mixed with surfactant and blue marking dye. Used my backpack sprayer and sprayed lawn until grass was covered well and let it sit. 2 weeks and the crabgrass and Bermuda is dying. Reordering to hit the straggling Bermuda.

Carpetgrass
By John on 09/13/2019
As Vantage (which contained 13% sethoxydim) is no longer available I bought this product to kill carpetgrass in my centipede lawn. The High Yield post-emergent herbicide (HYPEH) did not list carpetgrass to be selectively controlled as it was listed on the Vantage label. I treated the weed during a drought so was not sure the product would be effective. After 2 weeks (and Hurricane Dorian's 7 to 8 inches of rain) the carpetgrass is yellowing and some appears to be dead. As with Vantage I may high to re-treat the carpetgrass. HYPEH is supposed to control bermudagrass but the effect not apparent yet. I used the H-Y Spreader Sticker with the HYPEH. Hoping HYPEH will kill all of the carpetgrass and bermudagrass. I have not observed effect on Bahia grass (because I have not looked) but it should also be killed as Vantage did kill it.

Getting rid wild burmuda grass in lawn
By Clarice on 08/24/2018
It seems to be killing burmuda grass but also harming my St. Augustine so I have been springing with sprigs from edging lawn. There should be a product that kills wild Burmuda grass without harming your lawn. Vantage used to be such a product and it killed Bahia grass also. Let me know when you get such a product.

I want to kill out Bermuda that is infiltrating my Centipede
By John on 07/23/2018
After 3 weeks and two applications, I think it is doing a good job killing out the encroaching Bermuda. In Eastern NC, the sandy soil will allow the running Bermuda to take over. High Yield Grass Killer seems to be a good option.

Great for Japanese Stiltgrass
By Susan on 09/12/2019
I have several acres of woods that are being inundated with Japanese Stiltgrass. I used this product with a surfactant and it was very effective in killing the stiltgrass without killing the ferns, narrow-leafed grasses, and other plants that were growing with it.

Hi-Yield Grass Killer
By Ultracon on 05/01/2020
This stuff works! If you have bermuda in your shrubs, garden, or lawn that you don't want you can spray the bush (I have azaleas) with the bermuda. Won't harm the bush but will kill the unwanted grass. Great for weeds in your lawn! If it would only kill Poa Annua, it would be perfect. Five Stars.
