WEEDY GRASSES CONTROLLED

This product kills most annual and hard-to-kill perennial grasses up to 1 foot high, including the following examples, in one or two applications. Younger, actively growing seedling weeds are more easily killed than older, mature, well-established grassy weeds that may require a repeat application for control. Adding oil concentrate may help control grassy weeds.

Barnyardgrass, Bermudagrass, Broadleaf Signalgrass, Crabgrass (Large & Smooth), Fall Panicum, Foxtail (Giant, Green & Yellow), Goosegrass, Johnsongrass (Seedling & Rhizome), Junglerice, Lovegrass, Orchardgrass (Seedling), Quackgrass, Tall Fescue Seedling, Texas Panicum, Shattercane/Wildcane, Wild Proso Millet, Wirestem Muhly, Witchgrass, Wooly Cupgrass

APPLICATION TIMING

Apply when grassy weeds are actively growing, not exceeding the minimum of days from application to harvest when used on vegetables and fruits. Warm sunny weather will accelerate systemic movement from leaves and stems down to the roots to give complete kill. DO NOT mow or cut off tops of weeds before spraying. DO NOT apply if rainfall is expected within one hour following application. Growth of treated grass stops soon after application. Grass turns yellow and dies within one to three weeks depending on the grass species, stage of growth and weather conditions. Cool weather, drought, and heat stress slow activity.

    A good deal

    By Nancy on 03/17/2015

    Verified Purchase

I used this product once last summer and it stopped my Bermuda grass from growing within my Centipede. The runners appear green when runner stalks were broken even though they have not grown any...so I am going to use this again in a few weeks to prevent any spring growth. So far, it is the only thing I have found to eliminate the Bermuda.

    Killing bermuda in centipede

    By Ultracon on 05/23/2016

This stuff really works when used with the surfectant! After one application, the bermuda has stopped growing and is dying. The centipede is untouched! A second application will be going on in a week or so. This is really, really, good stuff and worth the $$!!!!! Be sure to get the surfectant as well to mix them together. A solution to my problem after years of digging and pulling!

    Great service!

    By Bruce on 09/09/2015

Ordered Hi-Yield grass killer on Monday and received it on Thursday. I had a number of Crab Grass patches in our lawn and used it as a spot spray on those patches. Follow the label and add a spreader sticker oil. It has been several days and the Crab Grass appears to be killed and I am satisfied with the product.

Q
What is "oil concentrate"?

Why is it not in "Hi-Yield" grass killer or why is not stated on front of label that it will be needed? Frustrating to drive one hour home to read label and then find out!

A
We are not the manufacturer so we cannot comment on why it is not on the label.  When an herbicide calls for oil, it is referring to a surfactant.  Surfactant helps the herbicide stick to the waxy coating of the weeds and lawn you are applying it to.  It improves the effectiveness of herbicides greatly.
