    Is Hi-Yield Horticultural Hydrated Lime fast acting product or does this takes months to work?
    I have an acidic garden that I like to make it a little more alkaline for vegetable growing; does this lime dissolves and gets to correct the pH quickly or does it take months to start to have an effect on the soil. Thanks

    Is it same as high calcium hydrated lime?
    I need this product for concrete curing tank in the lab and I want to verify it is the same.

    Yes, the Hi-Yield Horticultural Hydrated Lime is the same product as high calcium hydrated lime. Please refer to page 2 of product label for proper mixing ratio.

    Can Hi-Yield Horticultural Hydrated Lime be used for pest control on vegetables?

    Hi-Yield Horticultural Hydrated Lime is labeled to apply around vegetables but does not offer pest control. We do carry products that can be applied for control.

    Can Hi-Yield Horticultural Hydrated Lime be used in home on carpets?
    A

    No per the label Hi-Yield Horticultural Hydrated Lime is used to neutralize overly acid soils around shrubs, flowers, vegetables, lawns and potted plants.

    Why would earth box not want you to use this product? They say use only dolimite to sweeten the soil.

    Unfortunately, we are not sure why Earth Box advises again using Hi-Yield Horticultural Hydrated Lime. We recommend you contacting Earth Box.

    Can I mix Hi-Yeild Hydrated Lime in my mortar to make it more weather resistant?
    I'm using it for a small cord wood project and was advised to add hydrated lime to my mortar to help combat the expansion problems associated with hot and cold weather. Plus I have a bag of your lime product on had.

    Hi-Yield Horticultural Hydrated Lime is not labeled for that kind of application therefore we are not able to advise on or recommend treatment in that method.

    Can I safely add Hi-yeld HD lime to my dahlia bed 2 weeks before planting tubers?
    Will also direct sow various flower seed in same bed.

    We recommend contacting the manufacture VPG 888-583-5296 for assistance with your specific treatment.  

    Hi-Yield Horticultural Hydrated Lime does not mention timing with planting on their label but typically best to correct soil issues before planting to ensure optimum plant growth.
