Looking at the reviews makes me think this product has perhaps been improved over the years. The negative reviews were a number of years ago. I bought mine in 2021, and it's great. Fits on securely and enables us to get into drains that have a permanent cap that makes using a gel tip unsatisfactory. We found the foam to be every bit as effective as the gel
