Looking at the reviews makes me think this product has perhaps been improved over the years. The negative reviews were a number of years ago. I bought mine in 2021, and it's great. Fits on securely and enables us to get into drains that have a permanent cap that makes using a gel tip unsatisfactory. We found the foam to be every bit as effective as the gel

This worked very well for us. You have to remove the existing nozzle on the can and then the attachment for the hose snaps on snugly. Was able to get the foam deeper into the drain with this attachment. Our can was missing the straw so the hose was necessary and useful.
Is the spray tab that comes on the canister to be removed? Do you remove the white push tab from top of can to use this attachment?
Yes, you would remove the white nozzle from the top of the Invade Hot Spot can to use the Hose Extension Actuator for Invade Hot Spot.
