A repellent such as Deer Scram Repellent is best applied in a band around areas that you want to protect from the target animal. If you are trying to protect a large area, then you would be applying the 18 to 24 inch band around the edge of the property as directed on the product label. Typically deer repellents are used around beds of plantsthat the deer would be likely to eat. Keep in mind that repellents may work better at some times than others.
