During the fall months, in Idaho, we have midges come out in the droves. We get eaten up when we try to enjoy our patio. What would you recommend?
You could use Riptide 5.0% Pyrehtrin ULV with a ULV fogger to kill those out in the open at the time you do so. It is labeled for mosquitoes, ticks, midges and flies. We recommend reading over the product label for a complete list and instructions. For residual control, Onslaught is labeled for a wide variety of small flying insects including gnats, midges and other small biting flies and should help reduce the amount of midges on your property. Be sure to spray the areas where you have noticed the midges landing or resting as Onslaught will only eliminate those insects that land on treated areas. Please refer to the product label for mixing and application instructions.
