How much Prodiamine 65WDG should you use in a four gallon back pack sprayer?

Answer:

The application rate for Prodiamine 65 WDG depend on the type of turfgrass you have. Please refer to the Rate Chart on page 9 of the product label for the recommended rate for your lawn.  Water is only acting as the carrier to distribute the active ingredient and the water volume can vary with each persons application and their specific lawn. It is important to know the water volume you need to cover 1000 sq ft for effective results with herbicides. To decide how much water you want to use, mark off a 1,000 sq ft area (50ft x 20 ft), fill your sprayer with water ONLY, and start walking and spraying just as if you were doing the actual application of herbicide. When you are done walking and spraying the 1,000 sq ft area note how much water it took you to spray that area (1 gallon, 1.5 or 2 gallons of water). This is the amount of water you will mix the labeled rate per 1000 sq ft for your turfgrass.View our How to Calibrate Your Sprayer HERE for a more detailed explanation.
