Good to know how wide an area to spray and is it safe to breathe humans growing vegetables and safe for the pets? Considering making mounted sponges to place on the hurricane fencing perimeter and satellite poles like bird feeders?
The Pyranha Zero - Bite Natural Insect Repellent is for use on horses, dogs, cats, ferrets, caged pets, and their premises but does not list vegetables as an acceptable application. The sponge method you are considering is also not permitted per the product label so therefore we cannot advise using this product in that manner. Per the product label: Thoroughly spray infested areas, pet beds, resting quarters, nearby cracks and crevices, along and behind baseboards, moldings, window and door frames plus entire area of floor and floor covering. Place fresh bedding in animal quarters following treatment.
For controlling flies in vegetable gardens, Cyonara Lawn & Garden RTS (Ready-to-Spray) would be recommended for a broad spectrum insect control.
Catchmaster Disposable Fly Traps are great to use outdoors around the home or property to draw flies away for 4-6 weeks. These traps should be placed atleast 30-50ft from the home and hung 4-5 ft high off the ground preferably where direct sunlight will hit it.
