How should Astro Insecticide be applied to control/kill dogwood borers? What is the mix rater per gallon and is a spreader sticker surfactant recommended?

Answer:

Astro Insecticide should be used with ground spraying equipment such as boom sprayers, backpack sprayers or hand pump sprayers. For Dogwood Borers, the recommended rate is 1-2 quarts of Astro Insecticide per 100 gallons of water or 0.32 - 0.64 oz per gallon of water. A surfactant is only recommended for flea applications and is not needed for dogwood borers on ornamental trees.  Per the product label, apply to the lower branches and trunks prior to adult emergence. Adult emergence varies according to pest species, host tree, environmental conditions and geo- graphic location. Thorough coverage of bark is required for control.
