I live in South Florida and have rocks around my whole house. The rocks / pebbles are 2 feet from wall of house and 3 to 4 inches deep. I also read that I need to make enough formula to go down 3 feet. Since the soil is sandy down here, can I still use Taurus to create the barrier without dig a trench, which would cause me more of a headache then it may be worth. If I can and the whole footage is 194 feet around the whole house, how many ounces do I need?
Taurus SC Termiticide is a great product for protecting the foundation of the structure from subterranean termites, however if you have rock or a barrier in place to prevent this from being trenched as the label requires, your only option would be to use bait stations and dig individual holes in the rock for the stations to go into. Stations should be placed roughly every 10 feet apart around the home, so this would be less digging and moving of rock than the trenching application would require. We only recommend using bait stations when no termite activity is found in the home currently as they are not an effective means of pulling termites out of the home if they are already infesting it. The Advance Termite Bait Station Kit would be a great choice for you, and the 20 station kit would be perfect for your homes perimeter if you place them every 10 feet.
