There is an inch and a half hole that is impossible to get your hand in the tank to clean it.
Per the manufacturer of the Pet Lodge Water Tower Deluxe, you can use a bottle brush cleaner with nylon bristles, there are some bottle cleaners available in different sizes, that can fit through the opening to clean the inside of the tank. They also mentioned using a warm soapy water mixture to clean or using a mixture of warm water with vinegar to soak the bottle and rinse out.
