Please be sure to read the product label of any insecticide you choose to use to get information on the personal protective safety gear you will need. In most situations, it is recommended that you wear long pants, a long sleeved shirt, closed toe shoes with socks, chemical resistant gloves, and goggles. In areas where ventilation is poor, a manufacturer may recommend you wear a mask or a respirator. We have put together two different safety kits that will make selecting the correct safety gear easier for you.

Learn How to Keep Spiders Out of Your House

Keeping spiders out of your home or business is important to most people. You can help stop these occasional invaders by keeping up general property maintenance and sanitation around the structure which will reduce the chance that spiders would find the area favorable in the first place. You should consider applying general preventative insecticide applications around the exterior perimeter once every 30-90 days as described in our General Pest Treatment Guide.

Spiders move into areas that are usually populated with many insects as this is their food source. By applying the general insecticide around the exterior of your structure you will be removing the spiders' food source which in turn will drive new spiders away to find better hunting grounds.

For the best spider prevention we recommend you use our General Pest Prevention Kit and follow our General Pest Prevention guide.
