We would recommend to keep applications of Fahrenheit Herbicide atleast 1ft outside the dripline of the live oak tree when spraying weeds to avoid any injure to the roots. View the product label for more information.  Using a non selective glyphosate product like Roundup QuickPRO can be used to directly spot treat spurge and other weeds within the drip line of the tree as this will not leach in soil to roots and nearby plants.
