Is Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray effective to be used on carpet, tile, and laminate surfaces as well as to treat leather couch, furniture and pet bedding? Currently using vinegar and water mixture to repel off furniture.

Answer:

Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray is perfectly safe on just about any surface although treat hard surface flooring like ceramic, tile or hardwood floors would not be the main areas to focus since fleas will not rest or lay eggs on hard surfaces. You may see them there as they jump from location to location, but that is not where the female will lay eggs. Focus on areas where pets frequent, such as in and around pet’s sleeping and resting areas..Apply as a spot treatment only to surfaces of furniture, rugs, carpets, drapes, and around all pet resting areas until “slightly damp”. Do not saturate upholstered furniture, carpets, rugs, etc as this will hinder the results.

Remember to vacuum all surfaces and cracks and crevices along baseboards, cushions, and flooring before the first application and then continue to vacuum frequently 2-3 times a week in between treatments. Follow up applicaitons should be done every 14 days until you are no longer seeing activity. This can take multiple applications and months to eradicate completely. Vacuuming is key to quicker results.
Although we cannot say for certain that vinegar would counteract the residual effect of the Precor 2000 Plus, it likely could. For specific product support regarding this question, the manufacturer Zoecon can be reached by calling 1-800-248-7763 or by visiting their website.
