I'm using pre-emergent treatments spring and fall but trying to reduce a bit overall.
Unfortunately Pylex Herbicide is not labeled to help control poa annua. Since your have a cool season lawn and poa annua is technically also a cool season grass, there are limited options for a selective post emergent herbicide. Prograss EC is labeled to control poa annua in cool season turfgrass however can only be applied by a licensed applicator to residential lawns. Another option would be to spot treat with a non-selective like Roundup, or wait until temperatures climb over 80 degrees for it to start dying off. We recommend reading over our guide on How To Kill Poa Annua for further tips and information.
