This product at 12 oz. for $18.30 per cake is likely the most expensive bird feed on the planet. A prime beef cut at $18/lb. can't compare with suet at $24/lb. One answer suggests there are 12-12 oz cakes but is contradicted in the other two answers. What is it????
The price you see is the price for just 1 of the Pine Tree Farms Never Melt Suet Hot Pepper Cake Bird Food. Most of our customers can find the product locally for much cheaper. However, at the request of some of our more rural customers who do not have access to the product locally, we have added the item to our site. The individual cakes are drop shipped directly to our customers from the manufacturer and due to the high fee the manufacturer charges us for this service, we had to adjust our price accordingly. Some of the suet cakes we can offer in case price which is a much better buy for the quantity.
