Is there a liquid in the small capsule to activate the Gentrol Point Source discs?

Ordered through Amazon and placed them out in December. When I break the small capsule to activate the disc, is there supposed to be a liquid or is it supposed to be dry? I have read reviews of customers receiving dry ones and didn't know if that affects the efficacy.

Answer:

Inside the raised portion of the disc is a tiny vial with a few drops of the active ingredient inside. Once that section has been crushed and the vial is broken open to release the formula, it will slowly move onto the filter paper between the flat portions of the plastic. The liquid volume is tiny, only about a 1 ml of soluion, so the filter paper will not look soaked or even heavily wet. If you hold the disc up to light for a few moments, you may see a very slight color change that is visible once the Gentrol Point Source discs are activated and it may slowly spread over more surface of the pad as time goes by. The vapor from the drops is slowly released over time and will remain effective for 90 days. One disc should be used every 75 sq ft of treatment area.  Please view the product label for more information and instructions on how to activate this discs.
