JT Eaton Super Strongbox 912 is made of heavy-duty, tamper-resistant galvanized steel, stronger than the plastic bait stations. Designed with a triple reverted, hinged lid and domed lid, it sheds water from entering. A rubber insert keeps out debris from build-up in the key entry and includes a metal key feature. The bait station is designed with holes for a cable locking system or anchors. It also includes 3 ways to hold block bait with all bait holder rods included and 1 key per bait station. This bait station is compatible with JT Eaton JAWZ Rat and Chipmunk Trap (410), Helland Liquid Rodenticide Dispenser, and JT Eaton JAWZ Mouse Trap 409.
Bait is Not Included – Must be Purchased Separately. Each ORDER (not each station) includes 1 key.

The 912-Black now has the locking mechanism on the side of the box to better protect it from rain/snow/moisture. This change will be coming in the 912-Galvanized Steel soon as well.

This bait box fulfills our purposes - it is strong unlike the plastic which animals can either chew or scratch, badly damaging these plastic boxes. We do have to restrict the opening as smaller animals ie chipmunks can enter - we are only targeting mice, They seem to market this box for rats which we don't have. This is the only baitbox we use. The plastic models are worthless, I can't understand why there aren't more metal boxes on the market.

I've used bait stations outside for years, through professionals and DYI. Have never had a problem with the plastic boxes until along came my latest dog. Even when boxes were staked and wired, this dog was able to open the plastic bait boxes and ingest poison. Tired of inducing vomiting, I called DoMyOwn and they suggested this product. It works!! Dog cannot get them open and she has tried. I'm am so relieved and no longer have to be so vigilant when I let the dogs out. I don't want mice around, but I also don't want to risk my dogs.
