  • Asked by Carl from Greenville,sc

    Q
How long after using Killzall should I start seeing results?
    A

If the plant is actively growing (not just green), is not under cold stress or drought stress or recently mowed you should see results within 1-3 weeks depending on the type of plant. A second application may be needed after 4 weeks for very hard to kill plants (woody stemmed plants or vines).

For best results, apply on a warm sunny day when daytime temperatures are above 60°F.
Weed control is accelerated by warm sunny weather. For best results, reapply the product
if rainfall or watering occurs within 24 hours after application.

  • Asked by George from Huntersville, Nc
    06/20/2013
    Q
If I mix more Killzall than I use, what is best way to store it?
My Stihl backpack sprayer sepcifically says to empty it after spraying, rinse it, and let it dry. I destroyed another, less expensive sprayer by leaving mixed Killzall in it. Would a plastic gas can withstand the prolonged exposure. I can't always predict how much mixed Killzall I'll need, and I don't want to just waste it.
    A
The recommendation for not leaving mixed solution in your sprayer is not only because it can damage your sprayer, but the solution is not good if left mixed more than 48 hours. Any time you spray you should only be mixing what you will use for that treatment and no more. Anything left over should be disposed of in the proper manner for that product, so if you have to, mix up less than you think you will need to avoid waste.

  • Asked by Randy
    05/12/2011
    Q
Does Killzall loose any of its potency after it has been in sub-freezing temperatures for the winter?
    A
It is not recommended to leave any type of chemical in areas where they could freeze or over heat because of the potential for the chemical to break down. According to the manufacturer, as long as the Killzall Weed and Grass Killer was only exposed to sub freezing temperatures for a short period of time and the product looks exactly the same as before it was exposed, it should be fine.

  • Asked by Bill from Newport, Nc
    08/25/2016
    Q
Can I use Killzall Weed and Grass Killer to prepare my garden plot?
if so how long do I need to wait before I plant my vegetables
    A

Yes. Killzall Weed and Grass Killer can be used to prepare a garden plot. It will only kill the vegetation that it directly comes in contact with, and does not stay in the soil. So it does not have any residual properties, and would not affect future vegetation. You could plant as soon as the weeds and grass die that are currently there; we would recommend waiting 2 weeks to allow the existing plants time to die completely.

    Q
Is killzall weed and grass killer safe to use around my lake?
    A
You cannot use Killzall weed and grass killer around any acquatic life or bodies of water.  However we do carry a glyphosate product that is made specifically for use around bodies of water.  It is called Rodeo and you should use a surfactant with it for better results.
