  • Asked by Tatiana from Dallas Tx

    Q
How long does Martins Flea, Tick and Mange dip take to get rid of mange on a puppy?
    A
How long a mange product takes to work depends on the dog itself. If the dog has an immune issue the mange mites can take a very long time to get rid of and may also require an oral medication. If the dog is very healthy and the case of mange is light it can take 4-8 weeks to get rid of the mange. We do recommend that you seek the advice of a veterinarian to determine what type of mange (either scarcoptic or demodex) your puppy has and what treatments he/she recommends.

  • Asked by Jeff from Belen, Nm

    Q
How long after using Martins Flee Flea, Tick and Mange Dip will the ticks fall off?
I have been using Frontline for years, it's not working at all. My dogs are covered in ticks. Should I pull off as many as I can first?
    A

Martins Flee Flea, Tick and Mange Dip  (like most other dips) will target the ticks immediately and offer residual control since it is not rinsed after application. We would also recommend using a Seresto Collar for flea and tick control throughout the year. It exterminates ticks within 48 hours, wipes out fleas within 24 hours, and chewing lice for a month of initial application. The collar is certified easy-to-use, non-greasy and odorless. This collar features Polymer Matrix technology that is resistant to water. No need to remove this collar when bathing or swimming.

    Q
Can Martin's Flea, Tick and Mange Dip be use to treat dogs with red mange?
    A

Yes, you could potentially use the Martins Flea, Tick and Mange Dip to treat any type of mange, however we would suggest you speak to your vet before using this product. Red mange usually affects animals with weakened immune systems, so the animal may have incresed sensitivity to insecticides such as the permethrin that is in the Martins Dip. You may want to consider a more gentle product such as Happy Jack Mange Medicine.
