It was recommended by the manufacturer of Martins Flea, Tick and Mange Dip for longevity of treatment. After you apply, if you bathe them it will wash the treatment off, so it is recommended to do so before.
Because, sensitivities may occur after using ANY pesticide product for pets, we do not recommend that you apply any essential oil sprays. If essential oils have been used, bathe your pet with mild soap and rinse with large amounts of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately.
When using Martins Flea, Tick and Mange Dip, you will thoroughly wet your dog, by dipping, sponging, or spraying. Let them dry in warm area and wait at least 3 weeks for next application.
Martins Flea, Tick and Mange Dip should NOT be applied to puppies under 12 weeks.
Martins Flea, Tick and Mange Dip will not kill flea eggs. We recommend using something like Petcor Flea spray which is labeled to treat flea eggs and flea adults.
According to the product label, Martins Flea, Tick and Mange Dip is not for broadcast use on indoor residential surfaces. The product is intended for outdoor use on dog premises (dog houses, runs, and yards) and direct application to pets older than 12 weeks of age.
It would be recommended to wash any skin areas with soap and water that Martins FLEE Flea, Tick and Mange Dip may contact from a shaking dog, if so it is safe as long as you do not allow the product to dry on skin or touch your eyes/mouth before washing.
