    Can Martins Permethrin 10% be used on fruit trees to control Peach Tree borers?
    A
    Martins Permethrin is not labeled for use on fruit trees. You can use a product that contains permethrin but it must be labeled for use on non bearing edible vegetation such as Tengard SFR. Unfortunately once the beetles have already infested the bark of a peach tree there are not any viable treatment options. In cases of infestation the general recommendation is to simply protect the surrounding trees with preventative sprays with a product labeled for such a use.

    Can this product Martins Permethrin 10% be used in 55 gallon spray systems?
    A
    The label states that if using in a for or misting system for mosquitoes, flies and gnats to dilute at the rate of 1 quart of Martins permethrin per 25 gallons of water. So for 55 gallons you would use roughly 70 ounces of solution. However it does not specifically state on the label the use of a 55 gallon drum misting system so you may still want to check with the manufacturer to make sure it is okay for this type of application.     Can I spray the Martins Permethrin 10% on human bedding (mattresses) and carpet?
    We have been afflicted with the scabies mite and need to get rid of it.
    A
    This product cannot be used on mattresses and can only be used as a light spray on carpets for flea or beetle control indoors. Scabies mites do not infest the home, they are a dermal(skin) problem that must be addressed by a dematologist and the creams or medicines they prescribe. There are not products for scabies mites on mattresses because they do not live on those surfaces. If you are looking for something to spray on the surface as a "just in case" contact kill, you could use Sterifab. All other treatment of scabies will be administered by doctors.

    Can Martins Permethrin 10% be used to spray squash plants to control squash bugs?
    I have found the squash bug eggs on my squash plants and need to get rid of these totally. The squash are producing but only growing very little before rotting and one plant has already died due to these bugs.

    Martins Permethrin 10% is not labeled for use on squash plants. Sevin Concentrate and it is safe for squash and labeled for squash bugs. You will apply 1.5 fl oz per gallon of water.

    Yes, Martins Permethrin 10% can be used on dogs.

    Per product label:

    Dilute 8 ozs. in 12.5 gals. of water

    Thoroughly wet the animal by dipping, sponging or spraying.
    Allow animal to dry in a warm place without rinsing or
    toweling. Do not reapply product for two to three weeks.
    Consult a veterinarian before using this product on
    debilitated, aged, pregnant or nursing animals on medication.

    Can be Martins Permethrin 10% used to kill roaches or bedbugs?

    Yes Martins Permethrin 10% will kill roaches and or bed bugs that come in contact with the treated area. However, to eradicate roaches we also recommend using roach bait in conjunction. Please review our roach control page. We also recommend using more than one product to eradicate bed bugs too. Please review our Bed bug Control Page.  Please make sure that along with your residual spary that you are are using a product in the wall voids as well like Delta Dust.

    Are there any risks to my indoor cats if using Martins Permethrin 10% outside or on our dog?
    I understand this product cannot be used directly on the cats, but wanted to ensure that product would be safe as possible when used on yard or dog (the dog does stay inside as well)

    Martins Permethrin 10% will not harm cats if they are kept out of the treated area until the area has dried. Yes, Martins Permethrin 10% is safe to use as a dip on dogs 12 weeks and older. Please refer to the product label for application instructions.

    Yes, Martins Permethrin 10% can be applied top large animals such as horses. There is a dilution table on the product label for you to use.     I need mixing and application directions for yard.
    The directions for my bottle of Martins Permethrin 10% multipurpose insecticide is missing. I am trying to apply to yard with a pump sprayer I need mixing ratio for grass lawn application.

    Thoroughly wet down grass a few hours prior to applying Martins Permethrin 10%. Home lawns should be not more than 3 inches tall at the time of application. For ants, crickets, and grasshoppers use 1/2 oz per 3 gallons of water to cover 1,000 sq ft. For other listed insects use 1.5 oz in 10 gallons of water to cover 1,000 sq ft. For heavy infestations repeat application in 2 weeks.

    Will Martins Permethrin 10% kill carpet beetles in the car? And, is it safe for children after it dries?
    A
    We recommend that you get a proper identification of the beetle. It would be extremely odd to have carpet beetles in your car and in your office because they must have a food source that is of animal origin to survive and most cars and business offices do not have such a source. You should collect several samples of the insect and contact your local cooperative extension office to get an insect identification. Starting a treatment program without knowing exactly what you are dealing with is likely to lead to a treatment failure. Once you have a proper identification we would be happy to help advise you of the correct treatment.

    Can Martin's Permethrin 10% be used for thermal fogging with diesel?

    Martin's Permethrin 10% is not labeled to be used in a fogger.

    If you are looking for something to use in a thermal fogger to treat for various pests, such as mosquitoes, spiders, ants, etc., we would recommend using ULD BP-100. It is an oil based product that can be poured directly into the thermal fogger and does not need to be diluted.

    A
    Martins Permethrin 10% should NOT be applied to clothing. We do carry Tick Block which is specifically formulated for use on clothing. While both products do contain permethrin, the formulation of Martins Permethrin 10% contains materials that should not come into contact with your skin.
