    Is the Martins Permethrin 10% safe for birds if spraying for ticks in a flower garden? What is the ratio of the Martins Permethrin 10% to a gallon of water?
    A

    Martins Permethrin 10% should not harm birds if applied according to the instructions on the product label.  The dilution rate is 2 oz. per gallon of water.

    Is Martins Permethrin 10% ok for mini pigs?
    I have mini pigs, I know their sensitive to some things.I have a new boy that has ticks. Then my other ones I want to treat for mites.

    We recommend that you consult your vet for treatment to your mini pigs. Martins Permethrin 10% is for adult swine.

    What is the mix ratio of Martins Permethrin 10% for tick control?

    A

    Per the product label, thoroughly wet down grass a few hours prior to applying Martins Permethrin 10%. Home lawns should be not more than 3 inches tall at the time of application. For ants, crickets, and grasshoppers use 1/2 oz per 3 gallons of water to cover 1,000 sq ft. For other listed insects like ticks, use 1.5 oz in 10 gallons of water to cover 1,000 sq ft. For heavy infestations repeat application in 2 weeks.  Martins Permethrin 10% controls horn flies, face flies, lice and ticks, with a residual activity lasting up to 28 days.

    A

    You will use 8 fl. oz. of Martins Permethrin 10% per 12.5 gallons of water for dipping for fleas. It can be applied every 3 weeks as needed.

    If I treat my yard with Martins Permethrin 10% and it dries while my cats are inside, will rain or dew put my cats in danger?

    Martins Permethrin 10% will not harm cats if they are kept out of the treated area during application and until everything is thoroughly dry. Rain or dew will not reactivate the product making it harmful after it has dried.

    Can poultry graze on grass sprayed with Martins Permethrin 10% after it has dried?

    Although Martins Permethrin 10% is a livestock and premise spray, it should not be applied to grazing areas.

    Will Martins Permethrin 10% kill chiggers?
    A

    Martins Permethrin 10% is not labeled for chiggers and may not provide adequate results for you. Onslaught insecticide is labeled for chiggers and can be used both indoors and outdoors as a broadcast spray. Chiggers are not known to infest structures. Chiggers are most likely outdoors in your yard.

    When can my pets resume normal activity in the grass after spraying with Martins Permethrin 10%?
    A

    People and pets need to be kept out of the area while Martins Permethrin 10% is being applied and until it has dried.  Once it has dried, it is safe for everyone to return to the area.

    Does Martins Permethrin 10% kill roaches?
    A

    Martins Permethrin 10% is labeled for cockroaches, and will kill any roaches that come into contact with a treated area.  Keep in mind that roaches are a difficult pest to treat and usually the use of more than one type of product is necessary to completely eradicate them.  Please take a look at our Roach Control Guide for more information.

    Yes, you can apply Martins Permethrin 10% to the lawn.  Thoroughly wet down grass a few hours before applying. Home lawns should be no taller than 3 inches at time of application. Slightly more water may be used as long as the amount of product per area is as listed below. For heavy infestations, repeat application after 2 weeks. For ants, crickets and grasshoppers, use 1/2 fl. oz. in 3 gals. of water to cover 1,000 sq. ft. For other listed insects, use 1 1/2 fl. oz. in 10 gals. of water to cover 1,000 sq. ft.

    Can I spray the Martins Permethrin 10% on a nursing potbelly pig?

    Martins Permethrin 10% is safe to apply to adult livestock per the product label instructions. "For a pig, you would mix 8 oz to 25 gallons of water and apply a pint per pig (sponged on avoiding ears) for listed insect control". Thoroughly wet the animal by dipping, sponging or spraying.Allow animal to dry in a warm place without rinsing or toweling Do not reapply product for two to three weeks. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged, pregnant or nursing animals.     Can Martins Permethrin 10% be used on a vegetable garden? If so, can it be used as a Foliar spray? Amount to mix with one gallon of water?

    Martin's Permethrin 10% cannot be applied to anything edible.  You may be able to use something like Hi-Yield Indoor/Outdoor 10% Permethrin instead.  Please consult the product label to make sure that the insect(s) you are targeting and the specific edibles you will be applying to are listed.  You can see our full selection of products for edibles here

    Can I use Martins Permethrin 10% on my body to kill scabies?

    Martins Permethrin 10% is not labeled to treat scabies. Scabies mites live only on/in the skin and we do not carry anything to treat humans. We suggest visiting your doctor to receive the medication needed to get rid of scabies.
