    Q
If it rains day after using Maxforce ant bait granular outdoors should we reapply?
    A
You should always try to apply the granule when it is not going to rain, but if it does it will be ok if it is a sprinkle or a light rain.  If it is a substantial rain, then you should re-apply because the granule will probably be moved or washed away in the water if there is enough of it.

    Q
Does Maxforce ant granule have an expiration date? How long is it good for?
    A
Maxforce Ant Bait Granule does not have an expiration date. We recommend using bait granules within one year of purchase to be sure it is fresh. Using old bait can be ineffective as ants may not find it palatable. Maxforce Ant Bait Granular was recently discontinued by the manufacturer and replaced with Maxforce Complete Granular Bait.

    Q
Does Maxforce Ant Bait Granular have any harmful effect on plants, trees, shrubs or garden vegetables?
    A

Maxforce Ant Bait Granules can be safely used around trees, shrubs and most plants. Maxforce Ant Bait Granules cannot be used near a vegetable garden however. You can use the granules around the outside perimeter of the vegetable garden, or you can put the granules into bait plate stations to keep the granules off of the ground around the edible vegetation.

    Q
Does Maxforce Ant Bait Granular work well on Carpenter Ants? Also is it safe to use around dogs?
It would not be near my dogs food, but would be on the ground in a yard where he frequently runs. If it is not safe, what would be a better option for carpenter ants?
    A
Maxforce Ant Bait Granules can be used for carpenter ant control. When used as a broadcast application the granules will be pretty inaccessible to most animals because they will fall down into mulch or grass where a dog would be hard pressed to find the granules. Also, the very small amount an animal might be able to eat when Maxforce Ant Granules are broadcast should not be enough to cause any issues. If you are planning to use the granules in piles that would be accessible to your dog, you should place the granules in an ant bait station.
