Ant colonies can be very large and it is also possible you are dealing with more than one colony. If the ants are not accepting the bait at this point it could be because their nutritional needs have changed. I would recommend treating with Phantom. Phantom Aerosol would be a good choice for ant control indoors. Phantom is a non-repellent insecticide that has a delayed reaction which allows ants time to get back to the colony and spread the product. In essence, the ants will not be able to tell that the product is in place and they will pick it up on the fine hairs all over their body and inadvertently carry it back to the colony where over a course of a few days it will knock out the entire colony. Phantom works really well because you don't have to worry about whether the ants will all take the bait, they just need to walk over the treated areas. Phantom should be applied around baseboards, door frames, window frames and places where utilities (cables, pipes and wires) enter through the wall as these are the most likely places for the ants to enter/exit.
Maxforce Fleet has a three year shelf life and should be stored away from extreme temperatures, ideally being kept between 45-75 degrees F.
Maxforce Fleet would need to be used in a bait station if it is applied within the dripline of edible plants like fruit or nut trees. Ants No More stations are a great choice for outdoor use since they have stakes to secure them in place and two separate compartments in each station.
Yes, Maxforce Fleet Ant Bait Gel is a carbohydrate-rich gel bait to appeal to sweet feeding ants using the active ingredient Fipronil.
Maxforce Fleet Ant Bait Gel is not labeled for ghost ants, but Advion Ant Bait Gel is.
The Maxforce Fleet is a professional grade bait that is labeled for Carpenter Ants therefore should be effective in treating this type of ant species. It does take time to completely eliminate ant colonies. We would suggest reviewing our Carpenter Ant Treatment Guide for detailed step by step instructions on how to treat both indoor and outdoors.
