As someone commented; Carpenter ants seem not to be attracted to the gel. To be honest I never saw one baiting it, but suddenly in the next three or less days after the first application they start showing dead all around.

We had large black carpenter ants throughout the house and even on our 30 ft high balcony porch and I don't mean one or two. I placed the little drops of the bait as directed throughout the house and porch are you also used advance carpenter ant bait and it was amazing within days they dwindled and then none. Couple months later I did call and arranged and exterminator for quarterly visits and I showed him the bait I used and he said it was the same that he used and said I did a really great job.

Super Fantastic Product!

First time user for HUGE ant problem in kitchen which has been going on for years! Used other products to control but they didnt work. I injected 1 tube into molding on 5/20/20, sealed up 2 holes and NO ants since!!!! Amazing! I have 3 tubes left for the next time! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Carpenter ant infestation

I had a carpenter ant infestation in my house. Thousands of these ants were marching down my fence in both directions and entering my house through a void somewhere. I decided to purchase this product and when I got it I immediately started using it. I applied this product to five or six q-tips so that I could hold the q-tip while I applied the product to the other end of the q-tip. I set the q-tips out in the path of where I was seeing the carpenter ants travel. I also put bait outside of my house at night where I thought that they were entering. I only used small dabs along my fence in both directions at night when they were foraging for food so that the worker ants could get it and take it back to the nest in order to kill the queen and the colony. I had my doubts that this product would work but lo and behold it wiped the colony completely out. I mean I was seeing thousands and thousands of ants bee lining to my house befor I had this product. The key is to be patient and let this product do its work over the course of 3 to 7 days. Thank you Max Force for totally eradicating my carpenter ant problem. This product is amazing for anyone who has a carpenter ant infestation and can be patient allowing the bait to do its work. You will know that debate is working when the ants inside of your house start to slow down and look lethargic. Then you will notice that they start to die and as they are dying they start to move in very small half inch circles because the poison is affecting them.

We have been battling carpenter ants for years because the area we live in has many old trees, so the ants try to move in every year. I've tried many products over the years with varying success but all required you to spray directly on the ants and nest. Which is not easy to find or get to sometimes. I decided home stores products were just not up to the job. After much searching, self education and watching videos from the pro's, I settled on this and the granules. Ants were on sweets so they ignored the granules and went straight for this gel. Day 1, lots of ants, day 2 less ants, day 3 no ants at all, two weeks of monitoring and no sign of a single ant. So this stuff worked great for me and was surprised by the speed it killed off the nest. I'll be putting this down in bait traps every year from now on.

It's an old apartment. I moved in years ago, and the roaches had already taken over. Little guys, less gross than the big ones but not in these numbers. There was no getting rid of them (diatomaceous earth? didn't work at all, etc etc). Then after a few years of living like this (yikes), my roommate got this stuff, and they basically disappeared overnight. When we start to see one or two every 6 mo or so, we apply a little more in the back of the cabinet and they're gone.

I had a carpenter ant problem at home. I spoke to a tech. advisor and he recommended the advance 375 and the maxforce fleet gel. I used both in the manner recommended and it did nothing! The ants would literally walk right over them both. Products were useless for me. I bought the pt phantom II, tried that, and went from seeing many hundreds if not a thousand every nite to 0 !! Great product!!! I wish you all would have suggested that I try that first, would have saved me some money! I would rate the 2 baits I used a 0. . The pt phantom a 5+++
Carpenter ant problem resolved

Used this gel bait with great success outside home and sheds. Had carpenter ants crawling about in different areas and some coming into garage and deck doorways. Since using the product I rarely see any. It's working as intended. I would recommend this product and am highly satisfied using it.

The carpenter ants love this stuff. I put it in key spots but also in the evening look around to see if I see ants heading to and from the house. Then I put small blobs right in their route-- it is great to see them gather around and eat the stuff up, then go on their way to bring it to the colony. This is the surest way I know of to truly kill a colony-- when I do this within 7-10 days there will be NO ANT ACTION whatsoever.

That can happen as ants are not always looking for a sugar/carb protein. Maxforce Fleet Ant Bait Gel is highly appealing to sweet feeding ants. It is highly recommended to also use Advion Insect Granular Bait Insecticide or Maxforce Complete Granular Bait which are protein baits. You should always give ants a choice as they may be in the mood for either a protein (granule) or a sugar (gel) bait. Using Bait Plate Stations with your baits is an easy way to offer two different baits at one time.

I have wooden large statues of grizzley bears, black bears , wolf etc in my yard. I initially put down a granular product and the ants disappeared. Two weeks later they were back. There is a lot of sawdust from them gutting them from the insides out. We are talking 5-6 ft statues that are anywhere up to 18 inches thick. GUTTED. The Maxforce Fleet arrived and I put some on the stump one was on. I walked around the Grizzley putting little dabs of gue where the rain wouldn't wash it away. I put a little in the crack going down his back. By the time I made a full circle the ants were busy eatting it. The ants came from inside the crack and from the outside and loved it. There were several Piles of black and red ants on the ground at all animals. I then used the Maxforce granular around the base. When I say my animals are gutted from the inside I mean the whole interior. My thought is that these ants gobbled up the Maxforce Fleet but did they die before they fed the larve or the Queen? Who knows.
A Very Fast and Effective Bait for Pesky Ants

Living in Florida I see plenty of ants and typically as long as they outside of my house I have tended to let them be. However, when they begin to enter the house, we go to war. Recently I had begun to see many more on the outside near my patio and after two rainy days I found about a dozen Carpenter ant bodies one morning near a night light and knew it was time to get serious with this problem. I ordered a couple products from Do My Own and the first one I used was the Maxforce Fleet Ant Bait Gel. This product within a few minutes of applying outside of the house was like a magnet for several different types of ants. Within a couple of days, I noticed considerably less ants outside and withing four days there was no longer any showing up inside and my patios and walkways no longer have trails of ants moving about. I have treated many areas with this gel and I'm happy to say ant free and life is good again!

I have had great success with this gel bait. It stops the ants in their tracks, they can't stop eating this stuff! After a good feeding the bait is taken back to the colony and has resolved the ant issues. If you want good bait adhesion and quick results I highly recommend using Maxforce Fleet.
