    Max gel

    By Steve on 08/07/2020

Was hesitant to order based on the negative reviews. Carpenter Ants will not touch the gel whatsoever. They get near it, smell it, and freak out. I also tried the grain. They avoid the same identical way. Only small little ants that live in ant hills does it work. Alot of money wasted. I figured they would take one or the other based on service answers that they eat differently at different times of the year. I'm not about to spend another $100 on something that may only work once in awhile

    Disappointing

    By Charles on 06/17/2020

    Verified Purchase

Carpenter ants had no interest. Put in areas of high ant concentration. Ants would go past it no matter where it was placed. After weeks no changes in ant numbers.

    Still have ants

    By Erin on 09/17/2021

This did nothing except bring more ants. They came, they ate, they told their friends...They would be gone for a day, but then were back for more.

    Poor results when used outdoors

    By David on 09/17/2022

This can't be used effectively on porous surfaces. The gel quickly soaks in and when ants make contact the active ingredient is no longer edible. Also, if applied to a non-porous surface exposed to sunlight, the gel dehydrates quickly and the ants ignore it.

    Max force ant bait

    By Steve on 08/19/2022

This aunt Bay works better as a deterrent than as a poison. The ants avoided wherever I put it, despite careful efforts to keep it from being contaminated or placed directly in their path. I had the same results at several locatons on the property.

    Not as Effective as Antvion

    By Tj on 04/07/2023

This product didn't work at all for my pharoah ant problem. They went crazy over Antvion and couldn't get enough of it. Maxforce, not so much; they just skirted around it.

advance 375, maxforce fleet gel, pt phantom II

    By L on 04/28/2023

I had a carpenter ant problem at home. I spoke to a tech. advisor and he recommended the advance 375 and the maxforce fleet gel. I used both in the manner recommended and it did nothing! The ants would literally walk right over them both. Products were useless for me. I bought the pt phantom II, tried that, and went from seeing many hundreds if not a thousand every nite to 0 !! Great product!!! I wish you all would have suggested that I try that first, would have saved me some money! I would rate the 2 baits I used a 0. . The pt phantom a 5+++

    Maxforce Fleet Ant Bait Gel

    By Margaret on 08/05/2023

It did not work. We still kept getting ants long after we applied twice.

    Expert Response  Expert response:
That can happen as ants are not always looking for a sugar/carb protein. Maxforce Fleet Ant Bait Gel is highly appealing to sweet feeding ants. It is highly recommended to also use Advion Insect Granular Bait Insecticide or Maxforce Complete Granular Bait which are protein baits. You should always give ants a choice as they may be in the mood for either a protein (granule) or a sugar (gel) bait. Using Bait Plate Stations with your baits is an easy way to offer two different baits at one time.

Did nothing for carpenter ants. They avoid it.

    By Donna on 08/08/2023

I put this down along the trail of carpenter ants into my home. They won't touch the stuff. It's like they know it is going to hurt them. They try hard to avoid it.
