    If my dog eats the dead flies after eating Maxforce Fly Spot Bait will it hurt or kill my dog?
    My dog stays in a fenced in yard and i wanted to apply the chemical to the sun room windows that are in the back yard with the dog. So when the fly's eat the chemical and drop dead onto the patio, what if the dog eats some of the fly's, like dogs do?

    What is the shelf life of diluted Maxforce Fly Spot Bait?
    Can I mix the product per the recommendations and store the unused mixed product for use at a later time? If so, will it's effectiveness be reduced?

    The longer a pesticide sits in its diluted form, the less effective it will be. In general, the manufacturer recommends that you use the diluted Maxforce Fly Spot Bait within 24 hours of dilution for best results.

    Is Maxforce Fly Spot Bait safe to use on patio areas outside where children play?
    A
    You can use the Maxforce Fly Spot Bait outdoors in areas that will inaccessible to the children and non-target animals. Usually in outdoor residential settings you would just need to spray or paint the application on areas where the flies rest and that the children cannot touch. Please be sure to read the Maxforce Fly Spot Bait product label for complete instructions.

    If my chickens eat the flies killed by Maxforce Fly Spot Bait, will it hurt the chickens?

    Maxforce Fly Spot Bait is labeled to be used in poultry areas and other livestock facilities, so it should not pose any problems if applied correctly in this area. Be sure to apply the product in areas where the chickens or other animals will not come into direct contact with the spray or residual. Maxforce Fly Spot Bait does also contains the bittering agent Bitrex to reduce the likelihood of harming non-target animals. You may review the product MSDS for complete toxicology information.

    How do I mix the Maxforce Fly Spot Bait?
    A

    Maxforce Fly Spot Bait is mixed at one envelope (2 oz)  to 1 pint of water and agitate until completely mixed. One pint of finished spray will treat 125 square feet. The 16 oz pint is mixed with one gallon of water. One gallon of finished spray will treat 1,000 square feet of fly-resting surfaces. For paint-on applications, add 8 ounces of this product to 8 ounces of water (approximately 1 cup), and mix to desired consistency for best painting results. Apply this mixture in narrow bands up to 6 inches wide on suitable fly-resting surfaces. Do not apply this product at a rate exceeding 8 ounces for every 1,000 square feet of floor space.

    Is there a difference between Bayer Maxforce and Bayer QuickBayt?
    Both are fly baits made by the same company, are sold in the same quantities, contain the same active ingredient (imidacloprid) and attractants (muscalure and Bayer LEJ 179). Just wondering if they're the same product rebranded or if there is an actual difference!

    Does Maxforce Fly Spot bait work on cluster flies?
    A

    Maxforce Fly Spot Bait could work for Cluster Flies if they were to ingest the bait after landing on a treated surface.  Cluster flies eat organic material more than food products like house flies do.  We do have a great article that might be helpful on "How to Get Rid of Cluster Flies"

    Can Maxforce Fly Spot Bait be used in conjunction with Fly Predators?
    We currently use Spalding Fly Predators around our manure pile and would like to augment the control with Maxforce if possible.

    Maxforce Fly Spot Bait should not be applied to the same manure piles using Spalding Fly Preadtors. Simply apply the predators to the base of the pile for fly control.

    Can I spray Maxforce Fly Spot Bait on grass?
    I have a HORRIBLE fly problem in my yard. Tried Neem Oil mixture numerous times, nothing. Just want to make sure I know the intent of how to apply it. Do I broadcast it across my yard and on plants or do I apply it to some kind of hard surface (trash can, box, etc)?

    No Maxforce Fly Spot Bait would not be sprayed on the grass or plants.  Per the instructions on the product label, Spray diluted product where house flies aggregate: on walls, around windows, on surfaces of pillars and other structures, etc.

    Is Maxforce Fly Spot Bait pretty much the same product as the 5 lb Maxforce Fly Bait?

    These products are similar in that they are both baits.  Maxforce Fly Spot Bait is a powder that is mixed with water and sprayed on surfaces, whereas Maxforce Granular Fly Bait is a granular bait that is scattered or used in stations as directed on the product label.

    In the summer, the area where the dogs go potty (we have eight dogs) gets a enormous amount of flies even with us cleaning up several times a day, Would it be safe to spray around the yard where the dogs hang out?
