Maxforce Fly Spot Bait is not labeled for use directly on plants. You can apply this to structures as directed on the label as a spray or by painting the product onto the surfaces. You could use a residual insecticide concentrate such as Talstar P on ornamental plants for flying insects.
We do not recommend mixing anything with the Maxforce Fly Spot Bait. They die within 60 seconds of landing on treated surfaces so it is not long enough to disrupt the life cycle with an IGR. You can apply an IGR and an insecticide labeled for flies and treat on other surfaces and other listed areas.
Maxforce Fly Bait should only be applied to surfaces. This product cannot be broadcast. We would recommend using Maxforce Granular Bait. This should be placed inside of a bait station and placed at least four feet away from the horse corral.

Per the instructions on the product label, for spray applications of Maxforce Fly Spot Bait: add 16 ounces of this product to one gallon of water and agitate until completely mixed. One gallon of finished spray will treat 1,000 sq ft of fly-resting surfaces. For paint-on applications, add 8 ounces of this product to 8 ounces of water (approximately 1 cup), and mix to desired consistency for best painting results. Apply this mixture in narrow bands up to 6 inches wide on suitable fly-resting surfaces. Do not apply this product at a rate exceeding 8 ounces for every 1,000 sq ft of floor space

Maxforce Fly Spot Bait is not labeled for residential applications indoors, but can be used around the outside of commercial and residential structures for fly control. However, you may consider PT Alpine Pressurized Fly Bait as an alternative, which is labeled for indoor applications, if used as directed.
Maxforce Fly Spot Bait should be applied in areas where flies congregate the most by spraying, painting or brushing directly on surfaces. Apply when chances for overspray or wind drift are minimal and if possible, during the day when hummingbirds are not present. Do not allow any overspray to contact flowering blooms.

For indoor fly control it is typically recommended to use Fly Lights such as the Flyweb Fly Light.
The residual indoors is up to 6 weeks and outdoors up to 30 days.
