    Q
Can Maxforce Fly Spot Bait be applied to the leaves of outdoor/indoor plants?
    A

Maxforce Fly Spot Bait is not labeled for use directly on plants. You can apply this to structures as directed on the label as a spray or by painting the product onto the surfaces. You could use a residual insecticide concentrate such as Talstar P on ornamental plants for flying insects.

  • Asked by Raymond from Sunbury, Pa

    Q
Can I use an IGR with Maxforce Fly Spot Bait?
    A

We do not recommend mixing anything with the Maxforce Fly Spot Bait. They die within 60 seconds of landing on treated surfaces so it is not long enough to disrupt the life cycle with an IGR. You can apply an IGR and an insecticide labeled for flies and treat on other surfaces and other listed areas.

    Q
Does Maxforce Fly Bait work in horse corrals? If so, can it be broadcast, and at what rate?
Or would you recommend bait stations? The corrals are watered at times for dust control.
    A

Maxforce Fly Bait should only be applied to surfaces. This product cannot be broadcast. We would recommend using Maxforce Granular Bait. This should be placed inside of a bait station and placed at least four feet away from the horse corral.

    Q
Is Maxforce Fly Spot Bait safe to use around hummingbirds and other small birds?
We have feeders in the backyard for hummingbirds and other small birds. Unfortunately we get a lot of flies from our neighbors yard who have a Great Dane who poopies everywhere. Would this product or the granular one be toxic or harmful to birds should they come in contact with this product?
    A

Maxforce Fly Spot Bait should be applied in areas where flies congregate the most by spraying, painting or brushing directly on surfaces. Apply when chances for overspray or wind drift are minimal and if possible, during the day when hummingbirds are not present. Do not allow any overspray to contact flowering blooms.
