    Can I use liquid hot sauce in the Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder?
    I'm trying to use liquid hot sauce to control chipmunks .

    We cannot recommend that you pour hot sauce or straight hot pepper outside to use as an animal repellent. We do sell repellents that are made for small animals such as chipmunks, such as Bonide Chipmunk, Squirrel, and Rodent Repellent. This is formulated for use outdoors and to last through a fair amount of weathering.

    Do you add the fertilizer and water to the container or just fertilizer when using the Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder?

    For the Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder, fill the jar with 1 refill packet of any Miracle Gro water soluble plant food. Attach the feeder to the hose and turn on the water.

    People and pets should remain out of areas treated with Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder until the product has completely dried.  Then it is safe for them to return.

    Should I water very dry plants before feeding with Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder?

    We recommend applying with the Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder in the morning when it’s cooler and there is a fresh dew. There is no need to water prior to application.

    Do I put Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder sprayer on LOCK or UNLOCK to use?

    The lock on the trigger of the Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder could be used in either position. Locked would hold the trigger down so you do not have to.

    What does the "locked" position do on the Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder? Is that for watering only?

    The locked position on the Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder will lock the trigger in place to allow for a continuous spray without having to hold the trigger.  It does not allow for watering only.

    No, there is no internal tube in the Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder. There is no need of one with this feeder, as the water gets fed into the feeder and then cycled back out through an internal siphon on the inside of the cap.

    Can I store leftover product in the Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder? Didn't use it all with application.
    A

    You did not state what product you are using but generally, you should not store mixed insecticide or herbicide concentrates for longer than 24 hours in the Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder or any sprayer. Concentrated products will begin to separate which can cause clogging and will also being to lose efficacy over time. We recommend mixing only what you intend to use and discarding any leftover solution.

    The switch on top of the feeder has a forward and back position - in using when should it be forward and back

    Can you purchase replacement "straws" for the Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder?

    Should water coming out of my Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder sprayer be clear or light blue?

    The Miracle-Gro Water Soluble All Purpose Plant Food that is included with the Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder is a blue crystalline product and even when diluted with water it will have a blue tint, fading in intensity as the product is used up.
