Mole Crickets can destroy a yard fast if they are not eliminated at the first sign of infestation. Before treating for them, inspect your lawn to see if they are the source of your lawn being destroyed.

You can inspect your lawn for young mole crickets by performing a Soap Flush test. The best time to do this is in the Spring, in the early morning. Simply add two tablespoons of soap to one gallon of water in a bucket or gallon jug.

Test only a few square feet of your turf at a time to keep the solution concentrated. Pour the solution in the area you have chosen, and wait for a few minutes. If mole crickets are present, they will start to emerge. Now that you know you have mole crickets, treatment can begin!
