These products do not leave a residual that could possibly be soaked up by the roots of your garden. Of course you do not want to get the RoundUp or Avenger product on any plants you want to keep. You should only direct it at the weeds you want to get rid of.

Per the manufacturer: The way to think about it is that it affects seed germination, and once the plants have emerged from the ground and are actively growing, it is safe to spray. So, let the beans come up and then spray over them and water into the soil. Or you can let your normal garden irrigation do that for you.
Monterey Vegetable & Ornamental Weeder is only labeled to prevent weeds, it will not control weeds that have already germinated. Unfortunately it is not labeled to prevent dollarweed. We do have other products for dollarweed depending on your turfgrass type.
Monterey Vegetable & Ornamental Weeder is not labeled to kill burweed. We would recommend using a non selective such as Roundup to kill any actively growing weeds in the area where you will be planting the garden as you can seed or plant after 2 weeks.

It has a very limited range of edible crops that it can be used around and specific timing of application around each. We do carry a product called Casoron Herbicide which is a pre emergent labeled for a wide variety of edible berry plant species.
