You will use 0.5 to 1.0 oz of MSM Turf Herbicide per acre for control of Virginia buttonweed. Per the product label, a subsequent application after 4-6 weeks may be needed. This breaks down to approx 0.005 to 0.01 oz per 1 gallon. If you only have a small area you can spot treat. If it is all over the lawn it is best to broadcast. You would use the 0.01 oz per gallon for spot treating.
Please read the label for full application instructions.

An alternative to Celsius WG to treat lawn burweed would be Certainty Herbicide. This is safe for warm season turfgrasses and labeled to control lawn burweed with the use of a Non Ionic Surfactant. A second application may be required 4 to 6 weeks following the initial application for complete control.
For smaller lawns, Image Kill Nutsedge Concentrate could be used.

MSM Turf Herbicide states to use 0.5 fl oz to 1 fl oz per acre for foxtail but it is not labeled for horsenettle. If you are treating 10 acres, you would use 5 fl oz to 10 fl oz for 10 acres. hat would be 5oz-10z for all 10 acres. High volume ground application will require 100 to 400 gallons of water per acre; Low volume ground application will require 20 to 50 gallons of water per acre; and ultra-low volume ground application will require 10 to 20 gallons of water per acre. Regardless of the application volume and equipment used, thorough coverage of the foliage is necessary to optimize results

A Non Ionic Surfactant is recommended on both product labels for MSM Turf and Milestone Herbicide for best results.

The normal protocol in the industry when using the same sprayer for multiple chemicals, is to triple rinse it between each use. You would want to run clean water not only through the tank, but pressurize it to pump clean water through the pump itself, hose, wand and nozzle to clean them. As long as you do a thorough job rinsing it you can swap over to a new chemical right away in the same sprayer.
MSM Turf Herbicide can be used in fine fescue. It will injure tall fescue.
Unfortunately we do not carry a product that would kill bahia grass in fescue. Your best option would be to spot treat the bahia directly with a non selective herbicide and reseed/sod the desirable turfgrassMSM Turf Herbicide is best applied when target weeds are actively growing and healthy, usually best between temperatures above 55 and below 85. There is a Q&A on the MSM Turf Herbicide page that I have copied for you below with the answer we provided to other customers regarding applications to hay. Edible crops such as vegetables and fruit trees are not the same as or in the same category on labels as hay or grazing would be, and each would have their own specific use instructions on the label regarding restrictions of use.
Q
How soon can hay be cut after applying MSM Turf Herbicide?
A
According to the product label of Quali-Pro MSM Turf Herbicide, there are NO restrictions regarding cutting hay after the applicaiton. The product label states: "GRAZING AND HAYING RESTRICTIONS: NONE. However, coveralls and shoes plus socks must be worn if cutting within 4 hours of treatment." Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions.
Fahrenheit and MSM both contain metsulfuron-methyl and doing too much can damage the good grass. You should do those separately to not stress or damage the lawn. Probably give a week between treatments even if you would like to use both.
