Debbie from Midvale, Idaho writes

My pine trees needles are turning yellow then brown. What can I treat them with?

Several of my pine tree needles are turning yellow then brown. One entire tree looks dead. But they are yellowish on the tips and then turn brown. What would be the cause?

Answer:

It is possible that your trees have needlecast since this is a common problem, however we cannot make a certain identification via description alone. You can view descriptions and photos of common pine diseases in this Extension Article. Clearys Spectro is a popular choice for needlecast if that is your issue. Please review the product label to be sure it is suitable for your needs.
