Nemasys L Beneficial Nematodes (1 billion 250 million nematodes)

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

Application Conditions:

For optimum results:

• Treatment should be applied when black vine weevil larvae are present, in spring and autumn.
• Soil or media temperatures should be between 40-86 deg F for at least two weeks after application.
• The soil or media should be moist. n Routinely treat new material coming onto the nursery that may contain black vine weevil larvae.
• Use entire tray at one time. n Use nematodes immediately after mixing.
• Agitate nematodes constantly during application.
• If product is applied over foliage, irrigate immediately with plain water.

This product contains living organisms that require special handling. Follow these instructions carefully to obtain maximum activity.

1. Remove all filters from the nozzles and filters, 50 mesh or finer, from the application equipment.
2. Partly fill the tank with cool clean water. Start the agitator and keep running until application is completed.
3. Empty the appropriate number of Nemasys L trays into a large bucket, add 2 gallons of water and mix thoroughly.
4. Rinse bucket contents into the tank through its sieve.
5. Add the required volume of additional water to the tank.
6. Apply Nemasys L solution.
7. Irrigate immediately to wash nematodes off foliage. Do not irrigate to cause runoff from the tops of pots.

Recommended Rates:

Tray of 50 million nematodes treats 1,075 square feet. Tray of 250 million treats 5,500 square feet.

Drench Application:

Preferred method, especially where crop canopy is dense. Make up Nemasys L to give a final dilution of 1 tray (50 million) in 100 gallons of water, or 1 tray (250 million) in 500 gallons of water. Apply at 90 gallons per 1,000 square feet (2 billion per acre). See label for rates.

Spray Application:

Make up Nemasys L to give a final dilution of 1 tray (50 million) in 13 gallons water, or 1 tray (250 million) in 65 gallons water. Apply immediately at 13 gallons per 1,000 square feet (2 billion per acre).

Strawberry Application:

Prepare to a dilution of 1 tray (50 million) in 50-55 gallons water, or 1 tray (250 million) in 260-265 gallons water. Apply immediately at 3-3.5 ounces per plant. Drench each plant individually directing the application around the plant base, avoiding runoff. One 50 million tray will treat 2,000 plants, one 250 million tray will treat 10,000 plants.

Precautions:

• Nemasys L will not control black vine weevil adults.
• Do not use product if past expiration date listed on packaging or incorrectly stored.  It should be refrigerated prior to use at 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Nemasys L is compatible with many commonly applied pesticides but some chemicals may reduce the viability and/or efficacy of the product: details are available from your distributor.
• Nemasys L persists for approximately four weeks, larvae emerging from eggs laid after this time may be poorly controlled.
• Do not store Nemasys L solution for future use. Do not exceed 300 psi pump pressure.
