Niban Granular Bait is not labeled for grasshoppers and we are not aware of a bait for them. We would recommend using Bifen IT. It is labeled for grasshoppers, chiggers and ticks as well as various other pests in lawns and other areas.
If you are finding a lot of roach activity outdoors around your home, then an excellent product is Niban Granular Bait. This is a bait that is ready to apply from the container, and it has food attractants that are great for roaches, but an active ingredient that is all natural. Niban should be applied dry, but it can hold up to about 4 inches of rainfall after it has been applied. You may also want to take a few moments to review our Roach Prevention Guide for tips on how to keep these pests out of your home.
Niban's weatherized granules don't degrade from heat or sunlight and will last through four inches of rain, though it is recommended to apply in dry conditions, as this is when insects would be more likely to be out foraging.
There really is not a bait (including Niban Granular Bait) that is labeled for spiders or centipedes. To control these pests, we would recommend a product like Demon WP. Indoors you can apply to door frames, window frames, places where utilities enter into the structure, and any other place where the insects can gain entry. Outdoors you should apply the product to door frames, window frames, places where utilities enter into the structure, around the bottom of the foundation and out onto the ground directly around the foundation.
Niban Granular Bait is not specifically labeled for millipedes and/or centipedes. We would recommend using Talstar PL granules in your lawn. They will kill and prevent millipedes, centipedes and various other insects. Be sure to water the product in after application. This will last 2-3 months in the soil.
We would recommend using a bait to control crickets. Niban Granular Bait is a moisture-resistant bait that can be used indoors and outdoors to control ants, silverfish, roaches, crickets and more. Niban's weatherized granules don't degrade from heat or sunlight and will last through four inches of rain. Niban is the one bait that will continue to work because Niban has no known resistance and is virtually odorless. Niban kills the microoganisms in the insect's stomach and blocks enzyme production causing starvation. And since it affects none of the insect's major systems, they can't develop resistance. Niban comes in a convenient 4 lb. shaker container with a comfort grip handle for easy application. Niban Granular Insect Bait should be applied near cricket activity or in a 2-4 foot band around the perimeter of the warehouse.
The Inert Ingredients listed are added to help improve the formulation in effectiveness, storage and lifespan of pesticides. Unfortunately, the compound list of specific ingredients that make up the Inert Ingredient list is not broken down and made available for us. Niban Granules are safe to apply for pest control when the prodcut is applied, per label instructions. The product label should be on the front side of the container, it is a peel back label. You may read the product label here and contact Nisus directly 407-375-6313 for more detailed information.
The shelf life of Niban Granular Bait is about 1 year after opening.
Bifen Granules need to be watered-in to activate them, while Niban Granular Bait - 4 lb. Shaker needs to be applied dry, so we would not recommend mixing these products since the water from the Bifen application would reduce the efficacy of the Niban. Also, Bifen can have some repellent tendencies, so it would be best to apply in separate areas.
Niban Granular Bait - 4 lb. Shaker when applied in attics, should be applied in eaves and access drains. You can also apply to cracks and crevices where you see activity of the target pest.
The application timing for Niban will depend on the pest(s) you are trying to eliminate and the area that you are treating. In areas with high pest pressure you may need to reapply every 1-2 weeks or as soon as you notice that the bait has been consumed. If you are treating for slugs the Niban product label states that you should reapply every 4 weeks. For most other pests the label simply states 'reapply as needed'.
Niban Granular Bait is effective on a variety of protein-feeding ants, although the product label does not specifically list or exclude acrobat ants. A great alternative would be Maxforce Complete Granular Bait, which does list acrobat ants on the product label. Please see our Ant Treatment Guide for more tips on controlling this insect.
Niban Granular Bait is a great choice to treat crickets in a variety of areas such as around the foundation and in crawl spaces. Please refer to the product label for specific directions for the areas you are treating.
