    Can I use it in a sprayer to use on carpets and such inanimate objects and does it also deoderize

    Is Nisus DSV - Disinfectant Sanitizer Virucide pet friendly?
    I have a mobile dog grooming business, and would like to find a heavy duty disinfectant. I also work at a hair salon and use Virucide on our implements. But i need a disinfectant that will not harm pets.

    We would recommend keeping your pet out of the area while applying the Nisus DSV - Disinfectant Sanitizer Virucide. Once the product has dried completely, it is safe for your pets to return to the area. This product is not reactivated by water.

    Can I spray Nisus DSV - Disinfectant Sanitizer Virucide in my air ducts and floor vents?
    Have had oppsums and mice in and out of the floor vents. We are working diligently to get them out but are afraid we are breathing in the urine and fecal matter when the AC comes on.

    Yes. Nisus DSV is labeled for fogging but only in certain locations such as a hatchery. Be sure to read and follow all directions on the product label regarding proper procedures for fogging applications.

    For those who can smell what little odor Nisus DSV has, they describe it as a faint almond type smell if any at all and sometime a hint of lemon/citrus.

    Can dsv be used in conjunction with bacazap ?
    I am thinking that dsv will disinfect and bacazap will eat away at the product after its sterilized. Is this correct? What is the appropriate size/kind of fogger for a 1,000 sq ft attic?

    Yes, Nisus DSV and Bac A Zap may be used in conjunction with each other. Bac A Zap only eats away organic odors, organic stains, and organic build up. The Bac A Zap will not eat away the sterilization after an application of Nisus DSV. We would recommend the Commander Tri-Jet Fogger for this type and size of application.

    Can Nisus DSV be used to treat for mold growth?
    Can this be sprayed on untreated lumber (ie. Crawlspace) to eliminate mold growth? If so at what rate to cover 1400 sq feet

    Nisus DSV cannot be used to treat mold growth.  To kill existing mold and prevent it, we recommend using Bora-Care with Mold-Care.

    Will Nisus DSV work if sprayed on a dirt crawl space?
    I have an odor coming from a crawl space under our home. Can this be sprayed directly on the dirt floor then covered to prevent the odor from returning?
    A

    Nisus DSV is a Disinfectant, Sanitizer, and Virucide that kills listed bacteria and viruses on contact. While it can help to reduce odors coming from surfaces directly sprayed with it, it does not continue to work after it is dry. DSV cannot prevent odors from reappearing in a given area. The only way to truly eliminate an odor would be to locate and eliminate the source of the odor, whatever that may be. You could also use Earth Care Odor Remover Bags in rooms in a house where there are odor problems that you are having trouble eliminating.

    Is DSV safe to use with raw(unpainted/unfinished) wood used for home/attic framing?

    Yes you can apply Nisus DSV - Disinfectant Sanitizer Virucide on raw wood as it is designed to sanitize and eliminate any and all materials on the surface.  Depending on what you are treating for we may have other products that would better suit your needs if you are looking for a product that would leave a residual on the wood.

    Can I use Nisus DSV with a fogger, like the B&G M2400?
    I am sanitizing and disinfecting my attic due to fecal and urine from rats. Rather than spraying, I want to fog the solution so that the DSV will reach into deep recesses of the attic where rodents can get to but a human is not able to reach.
    A

     

    We would not recommend using Nisus DSV in a fogger in your home or in a rented storage unit. The fogging directions on the product label refer to commercial areas such as poultry housing, dairies, and food processing plants, and food items such as utensils should be covered. For household items like utensils, it would be best to clean these in a regular manner with soap and water or bleach. For other non-food, non-porous surfaces, you would dilute DSV at 2 oz per gallon of water in a sprayer such as a hand pump or trigger sprayer, and a 10-minute contact time is listed for treating Hantavirus. Direct treatment of items will be more effective than fogging since you will have more control over where the product goes.

    Nisus DSV is not labeled for use on plants or trees.  This product is a sanitizer and virucide meant to be used in the clean up of areas such as animal processing plants, hospitals, homes, etc.
