The NyGuard Plus is labeled for tick species in general and when used per the label instructions within your home where ticks may be present or would look to hide it will control them as well as any fleas in the area. While its not specifically labeled to control the eggs and nymphs its technology is such that you can effectively get rid of the entire population in the home as long as the proper treatment steps are being taken.
It acts on the immature life stages of insects and prevents those insects from becoming full functioning and reproducing adults. By breaking the reproductive cycle of these insects, NyGuard helps reduce overall insect populations.
NyGuard Plus contains the insect growth regulator (IGR) pyriproxyfen along with insecticide, so it is an "all-in-one" product. Precor IGR contains an IGR only and would need to be mixed with an insecticide.

Unfortunately, there are not really many products on the market that are actually labeled for sarcoptic mites specifically. Steri-Fab is labeled for mites in general and will very likely kill sarcoptic mites. Steri-Fab has an insecticide and an alcohol base. This combination allows for a fast kill of just about any insect that Steri-Fab is sprayed on plus a super fast drying time. Steri-Fab is NOT applied to animals or humans. You should check with your vet and physican for additional recommendations.
It is necessary to vacuum after applying NyGuard Plus (or any other flea treatment) because vacuuming pulls fleas and eggs to the surface of carpeting and also provides the stimulation the pupa (immature fleas) need to exit their eggs and expose themselves to the insecticides that have been applied. Please take a moment to look over our Flea Control Guide for more information on treating and preventing this pest.

Either NyGuard Plus or Precor 2625 would be a great treatment for flea control if applied once every 2 weeks. Vacuum daily between applications. Make sure pets are not present during application and while the product is still wet. They can return when all of the treated surfaces have completely dried. You will need a minimum of two applications depending on the level of infestation. You will continue treating every two weeks until the fleas are gone. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article on How to Get Rid of Fleas.

Food that is in the refirgerator should be OK since you would not be using this product in that area as it is not labeled to be applied there.

When treating hardwood floors with Nyguard Plus, treatment should be directed to the cracks and crevices only. There really is no reason to treat the entire floor as it is not a habitable area for most pests. You would want to wait until your treatment is complete and the pest is eliminated before mopping areas treated as this will remove the product.
