    Do these nematodes multiply once they are in the yard?
    .? What is the lifecycle of the nematodes?
    A

    Beneficial Nematodes will remain effective for up to two years, but annual applications are recommended when using Orcon Flea Destroyer. First, the juveniles will seek out pest insects in the soil (the fleas) after application, infect them and release bacteria. They will then multiply inside the pest, develop into adults, and kill the pest. The new juveniles emerge to seek out new hosts.

    Will Orcon Flea Destroyer eat fly larvae as well?
    A

    The Orcon Flea Destroyer is labeled for fly larvae. You will pour the entire contents of the container into a bucket of cool water. This can be applied with a watering can, pump sprayer or hose end sprayer.

    How much Orcon Flea Destroyer (7 million units) (FD-C7M) should I buy?
    I have about a half acre.
    A

    One container of Orcon Flea Destroyer will cover approximately 1000 square feet. Higher concentrations will get faster results. There are 21,780 sq ft in a 1/2 acre. You would need a minimum of 22 boxes.

    Will Orcon Flea Destroyer kill ticks in the grass and garden?
    Also do you know where in Australia your product or similar could be bought? I presume you wouldn't send to Australia as it's too far for the live nematodes!

    No, Orcon Flea Destroyer is only labeled for flea larvae in the lawn. We can only ship within the US at this time.

    Should I wait until Spring to apply Orcon Flea Destroyer to my lawn?
    I live in KY and wondering if there is any benefit to applying this now before winter.

    Orcon Flea Destroyer (7 million units) (FD-C7M) may be used any time of year, as long as the ground is not frozen. Do not release in direct sunlight, as this will kill them.

    When do you apply Orcon Flea Destroyers? Can I apply now (end of November)? If now how soon in the spring?

    Orcon Flea Destroyer can be used at any time as long as the ground is not frozen.  It is very important to apply the nematodes out of direct sunlight since the sunlight will kill them. Evening releases are best.

    How is this different than Orcon Beneficial Nematodes (7 million nematodes) (GC-R7M)
    A

    Orcon Flea Destroyer (7 million units) (FD-C7M) and Orcon Beneficial Nematodes (7 million nematodes) (GC-R7M) are of the same strain, so either one of these products would work on fleas.

    Do lawn weed killer or fertilizer applications affect the Orcon Flea Destroyer nematodes?

    Herbicide or fertilizer products should not harm the Orcon Flea Destroyer nematodes as they are not insecticides.
