    Will Osmocote Classic 3-4 Month 14-14-14 Fertilizer work well for backyard vegetable gardening?

    Osmocote Classic 3-4 Month 14-14-14 Fertilizer is not labeled for vegetable gardens.  Pennington All-Purpose Fertilizer 19-19-19 may be a good option for you to use instead.

    Can Osmocote Classic 3-4 Month 14-14-14 Fertilizer be used as top dressing for field grown daylilies?

    Osmocote Classic 3-4 Month 14-14-14 Fertilizer  is used for foliage, nursery, container gardens, greenhouse production, landscapes and interiorscapes, it should be fine on daylilies if the nutriends it provides match what is needed.

    Is Osmocote Classic 3-4 Month 14-14-14 Fertilizer the same as the 8Lb. Osmocote smart release it's 14-14-14 too?

    Osmocote Flower and Vegetable Smart-Release Plant Food contains the same nutrient makeup as the Osmocote Classic 3-4 Month 14-14-14 Fertilizer, but is designed for use on garden vegetables and perennials, whereas the other is intended for use on foliage, nurseries, container gardens, greenhouse production, landscapes and interiorscapes.

    Can Osmocote Classic be used on thuja green giant trees planted last year?
    And how should it be applied? We planted 10 ft thujas last summer, but did not fertilize at the time of planting. We are hoping to encourage growth as they are still adjusting, but unsure how to apply as it says not to apply directly underneath the tree? Thank you!

    Osmocote Classic 3-4 Month 14-14-14 Fertilizer is intended for use on foliage, nursery, container gardens, greenhouse production, landscapes and interiorscapes.  For landscape applications, apply at a rate of between 7 - 21 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. of area, per the product label.  For answers to specific product questions not addressed on the label, you can contact the manufacturer directly at (800) 492-8255 or via their website's contact page here.

    Will Osmocote Classic 3-4 Month 14-14-14 Fertilizer treat diseases in red maple trees?
    Numerous red maples in our subdivision had numerous limbs that did not have leaves this year. One neighbor was told her tree was sick, not dying and was told Osmocote Classic 3-4 month 14-14-14 would help the problem. I'm seeking expert advice before we invest money and time in the use of this product.

    Osmocote Classic 3-4 Month 14-14-14 Fertilizer will not cure disease/fungus. You will need a fungicide instead.  Please let us know what you are treating for and we would be happy to suggest a product. If you are not sure what you are treating for, we suggest contacting your extension office for an ID.

    The nutrient sources in Osmocote Classic 3-4 Month 14-14-14 Fertilizer have been coated to provide 12% coated slow-release nitrogen (N), 12% coated slow-release available phosphate (P2 O5 ) and 12% coated slow-release soluble potash.
