Osmocote Flower and Vegetable Smart-Release Plant Food is specially developed to provide the perfect nutirition to meet your perennials and garden vegetables' needs. It features a 14-14-14 balanced formula which helps promote stronger roots, and bountiful and healthier vegetables and plants. This granular formulation is coated with semi-permeable resin which allows the water to penetrate and dissolve the nutrients that are stored in each granule. It works by releasing the nutrients according to the temperature of the soil and according to the vital needs of the plants. It ensures to feed and give the nutritional needs of your plants for up to 4 months so they can flourish and grow healthier. This slow release fertilizer is designed for use on garden vegetables, tomatoes, peppers, onions, carrots, melons, berries, and perennials.

Osmocote--Who Could Complain?

Osmocote is a great product for potted plants--no doubt about it. The large sizes are great values, too. I usually use a very early spring application and a lighter later application. I've also used it in small tuff-to-establish or low-density turf in very shady areas with great success too--not a typical use, but it seems to work better than lawn products. As an aside, the packaging and zip lock closure do a really good job of keeping the product fresh and dry.
Osmocote Flower and Vegetable Smart-Release Plant Food is only labeled for outdoor use. You can use Osmocote Plus Outdoor and Indoor Smart-Release Plant Food on houseplants.
