Panama Bermuda Seed

On June 6 with a throw spreader, I applied the Panama Bermuda seed to the top of bare soil. Luckily there were no washout rain storms. With irrigation I ran the sprinklers 4 times a day for 20 minutes each time. The seeds were not allowed to dry. Germination occurred in 5 days.

Bermudagrass like Panama Bermuda Grass Seed Blend, in general, has extremely poor shade tolerance and will not persist in shade, even in the short term.
Panama Bermuda Grass Seed Blendvery much a turf species that will cover ground quickly and compete against most weeds.............but only in full sun!

The Panama Bermuda Grass Seed Blend is made by a different manufacturer than Celebration Grass, but it has similar properties and is made for similar uses. The PanAm Bermuda blend is perfect anywhere low-growing, fine textured turf is desired, such as lawns, golf courses, parks, and sports fields. This grass will grow in a dark green color and should be planted in full sunlight. This should be a great alternative to costlier options.

I have many semi-bare spots of fescue and would like for the Bermuda grass to overtake my fescue. Somehow, Bermuda grass has introduced itself into my large yard of fescue. and It is slowly spreading. I like how it chokes out weeds.
As Missouri is in the transition zone between cool and warm season lawn climates, you may have success in establishing Panama (PanAm) Bermuda Grass Seed Blend in your lawn, amongst the existing Fescue. The best way to determine what grass seed would grow and establish well in your area would be to speak to someone at your Local Master Gardener center for what will thrive in your weather and environments conditions.
