Bermudagrass like Panama Bermuda Grass Seed Blend, in general, has extremely poor shade tolerance and will not persist in shade, even in the short term.

This grass will grow in a dark green color and should be planted in full sunlight. This should be a great alternative to costlier options.

Since Bermuda Grass does not thrive or do well in shaded areas, Panama Bermuda Grass Seed Blend might not give you the results you are looking for. Depending on if the 4 hours of sun the area gets is in the afternoon, this would be more beneficial than if the area is only getting morning sun. Zoysia grass has a great tolerence for shaded areas but does tend to grow more slowly than Bermuda Grass.
