Pennington Rackmaster Trophy Radish Plus is a perennial cool season legume blend that is is perfect for creating a food plot for deer. Great by itself or alongside oats and other grains, the product grows quickly, especially early on in the hunting season and peaking during the mid season. This combination of radish and clover seed makes an ideal food source for deer during the early bow season. It is even good for the environment, with uneaten plants putting rich organic nutrients and nitrogen into the soil. Just prepare the target area by plowing the soil, removing any debris or other vegetation, and adding any necessary fertilizer or lime. Then plant the seed 1/4 to 1/2 inches into the ground, either with a drill or through a broadcast spreader, and cover the seed with soil. For optimal growth, the soil should be a pH between 6.0 and 7.0, and apply 200 lbs of fertilizer when planting and again at the mid season to increase the growth and attractiveness of the product.
