We would recommend using Permethrin SFR 36.8% at the rate of 1 2/3 oz. per gallon water for ticks. It would also be a good idea to incorporate an insect growth regulator (IGR) such as Archer IGR for complete control of ticks. All of these products are pet safe if used as directed. Pets need to be kept out of the area being treated during application and until everything is completely dry.

Permethrin SFR is only labeled for mosquito control on livestock premises. A better product for mosquito control outdoors is Talstar P and it can be IGR such as Tekko Pro to help sterilize the adults. It is our most popular product for mosquito control and would be a better option. It is a liquid concentrate that you mix with water and apply using any hand pump sprayer or backpack sprayer. The key is to apply it to all shrubs, trees, and other foliage around the house or patio where you are trying to provide relief. It should be directed not only on top of the leaves and plants, but on the underside of the leaves as well, which is where the mosquitoes like to hang out. It should be applied every 30 days for optimum control.
You should choose one or the other. Bifen IT and Permethrin SFR should not be mixed together and there is no valid reason to do so.
Unfortunately, if Permethrin SFR 36.8% comes in contact with any edible vegetation it should be considered contaminated and should be discarded. It would be unsafe for consumption.
