Permethrin SFR 36.8% is labeled to eliminate stink bugs on pistachio trees. Another option would be to use our Overwintering Kit. It comes with everything you will need to do a complete treatment for stink bugs and other pests.
Permethrin SFR 36.8% should not be applied to pomegranate trees. You can use Monterey Fruit Tree and Vegetable Systemic instead. According to the label for the Fruit Tree and Vegetable Systemic, when treating for leafy bugs on pomegranate trees, you cannot make more than one application per year and do not apply until the trees have flowered or when bees are actively foraging. The mixing ratio is 1.5 fl. oz. per gallon of water. You need to stay within 3 feet of the dripline when pouring around the base of the tree. This needs to be poured evenly around the tree.
Permethrin SFR 36.8% would be good to use for ticks and other insects in the yard as well as on healthy trees to help protect from beetle infestations. To use Permethrin SFR 36.8% at a 2% solution, you would use 6 2/3 fl. oz. of concentrate with 121 1/3 oz of water to make 1 gallon of solution. That means a quart (32 oz) of concentrate would make about 4.8 gallons, or about 18 L of solution. Keep in mind that dilution rate is only for certain termite applications and not for general pest control use.
Permethrin SFR 36.8%? can be used as a flea and tick dip on dogs per the product label. Instructions are 1/4 fl. oz. to 1 1/4 gallons (0.0626% AI). Dip wash. Thoroughly wet animal to water, skin with sponge or rag. Let drip dry.
Since Permethrin SFR is an oil-based product it is going to be more prone to break down in the extreme heat and sunlight in your area faster than other products. You will likely have to reapply the Permethrin every 30 days to keep insect populations under control and have a strong residual still on the surface. We would suggest when you get ready to order more product in the future going with something better designed for your environment like Cy Kick CS or Onslaught FastCap which will also likely give a better control over arachnids and other pests they feed on due to their encapsulation.
Permethrin SFR 36.8% would be considered acidic with a ph level between 4.8 to 5.0. The recommended psi for applications is not to go over 25 psi or 20 psi in some cases. You will need to use 1 2/3 fl. oz of Permethrin SFR for each gallon of water for indoor or outdoor spraying (0.5% emulsion). Be sure to follow all label instructions for where it can be sprayed indoors.
We used to carry Dragnet SFR, but FMC (the manufacturer) discontinued it. It was the same thing as Permethrin SFR 36.8. We are not sure if the Dragnet FT (which we didn't carry) is the exact same formulation, but from looking up the label, it appears to be the same percentage of the same active ingredient. Please let us know if there a particular pest you are treating.
We would recommend using hot soapy water with a mild detergent to remove any unwanted residue.
Permethrin SFR 36.8% is labeled for flies and may be a good option for you. You could also use a product like Bifen IT.
In most cases, it is not necessary to use an insecticide for crane fly larvae control. If damage is severe we would recommend using 1 oz. of Bifen IT per gallon of water per 1000 sq. ft. for the initial treatment and then 0.5 fl oz per gallon of water for any necessary follow-up treatments.
