    Q
Can this be used in rotation with Heritage G? Is it in a different classification?
Would like to find a different fungicide in a different classification than Heritage G that also is applied by granular.
    A

Pillar G and Heritage both have a Group 11 classified ingredient so while generally they would not be the best products to rotate to protect against fungicide and plant resistance, Pillar has an added active ingredient that allows you to do so. A better option would be a Group 1 fungicide like Clearys 3336G Fungicide

    Q
Can I apply Pillar G Intrinsic Granular Fungicide with a fertilizer (mixed together)?
I have a St. Augustine sod farm, and it could be easier to apply Pilar G with the applications of fertilizer, since we use a wide spreader. Thanks.

  • Asked by Jim from Woodbridge, Va
    07/10/2016
    Q
When is Pillar G to be applied for lawn protection?
I have the popular Scotts Classic Drop Spreader and what would be the best setting?
    A

Pillar G Intrinsic Granular Fungicide needs to be applied at 3 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. on a 14 to 28 day interval using a properly calibrated broadcast spreader. Please look at page 7 of the label for spreader settings or contact Scotts directly for help on how to calibrate for your application.

According to the label, due to variability within turfgrass species and application techniques, neither the manufacturer nor the seller has determined whether Pillar G Intrinsic can safely be used on all turfgrasses under all conditions. The user must determine if Pillar G Intrinsic can be used safely before broadscale use. Apply the specified use rate of Pillar G Intrinsic on a small test area under conditions expected to be encountered. Monitor for any adverse effects during a 14- day period after application.

  • Asked by One from West Ashley, Sc
    05/09/2018
    Q
Should I rotate Pillar G with Headway G, or just Clearys? I put down Headway G one month ago.
    A

Either Pillar G Intrinsic Granular Fungicide or Headway G would be good to rotate with the Clearys to prevent resistance.  You would not rotate between the Pillar and Headway as they are in the same group/class. You would want to apply one or the other no more than 2 times before rotating to the Clearys.
